What Ratio does with your numbers and files
Ratio is a static website. Width, height, ratio, LED panel and DPI values are processed locally in your browser with JavaScript. They are not transmitted or logged. Test cards and videos are drawn in your browser too. When you are not signed in, your screen list for batch export is saved in your own browser's local storage so it survives a reload, and it never leaves your device. Remove screens with their × buttons, or clear this site's data in your browser. Favourite sizes are kept in local storage the same way. "Copy share link" puts your screen list into the link itself, after the # sign, which browsers never send to a server; whoever you send it to gets the screens, and nothing is stored anywhere else. A tech spec you open with "Upload tech spec…" is read in your browser and never uploaded; for PDFs, the reader library pdf.js is downloaded from the jsDelivr CDN the first time you open one, and your document is not sent with that request. The copy button writes text to your clipboard using your browser; the site cannot read your clipboard.
Signing in (optional)
You can use everything without an account. If you sign in, accounts and saved projects are handled by Supabase, a hosted database service. We store your email address, a display name if you set one, the sign-in method you chose (email link, Google or GitHub), and the projects you save: their names and their screens (name, resolution, LED panel layout). Nothing else. If you sign in with Google or GitHub, we receive only your email address and basic profile from them, never your password. The sign-in library is loaded only when you open sign-in or are already signed in; visitors who never sign in do not contact Supabase at all. The Account page shows what is stored, downloads it as a file, and deletes it.
Sign-in keeps a session token in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in. Sign out removes it. On the Account page, More settings > Delete account removes your account and every saved project immediately and permanently.
Donations
The "Support Ratio" button opens Ko-fi's donation form in a window on this page. The form is loaded from Ko-fi only when you click the button, so visitors who never click never contact Ko-fi. Payments happen entirely on Ko-fi under its own privacy policy; Ratio never sees your payment details.
What the host sees
The site is served by a static hosting provider. Like almost every website, the provider may record standard technical information when your browser requests a page — IP address, browser type, the page requested and a timestamp — used for security and aggregate traffic analysis.
Advertising and tracking
Ratio shows no advertising and uses no tracking or analytics cookies. If that ever changes, this page will be updated before any such code ships.
